The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is seeking to add more volunteers to help review the submitted abstracts for poster or platform presentation at APTA Combined Sections Meeting. New graduates and early professionals are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Applicants are required:

To be a member in good standing for at least 2 years and throughout their term(s)

Willing to commit the volunteer time required.

Demonstrate an interest in reading research abstracts.

Knowledge of research methods
Applicants are preferred to have:

Prior peer review experience (abstracts, manuscripts, etc)

Knowledge of statistics
Membership requirement
Volunteers must maintain current APTA Pelvic Health membership and must be members in good standing throughout their volunteer term(s) unless otherwise specified in the call for volunteers.
Fiscal Implications
This is a volunteer service position. There is no financial reimbursement or compensation for volunteers.
Time commitment
Annual time commitment is as follows:

1-2 hours for reviewer training

Approximately 1 hour for email correspondence, access log-in to the review system

August - September

Total time commitment will be approximately 6-8 hours to complete abstract reviews independently.

Approximately 1 hour for reviewer communication regarding review scores

Approximately 1 hour for full committee decision meeting
