I’m from Birmingham, AL, and I graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2006. My legal background is largely in clinical legal education and pro bono work. I spent six years as the Clinical Supervising Attorney for the Civil Law Clinic at UA School of Law, and I helped establish two pro bono clinics, one as a student and one as a practicing attorney. I graduated PT school from Texas State University in 2020. In PT school, I also helped establish a pro bono PT clinic and served as one of two of the first Clinic Coordinators. I recently opened my own clinic focusing on pelvic health, and I’m currently serving as a Delegate for the Alabama chapter of APTA.
I’m honored to have this opportunity and excited to learn more about the organizational structure and opportunities within the APTA as well as continue to develop my own leadership skills. I’m passionate about learning to engage more members both locally and nationally, especially those who are practicing clinicians. I’d like to help more PTs and PTAs find value in membership and moving the profession forward.
