Empathy to Enlightenment : My journey in Women's Health
My interest had always been in musculoskeletal disorders since I started studying physical therapy. Even while working I found myself drawing towards assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. However, during the past few months, I got a chance to see postpartum females struggling with pelvic girdle pain that was limiting their ADLs. I felt a dire need to help her in the best possible way and my heartfelt empathy for her struggles led me to dig deeper into pelvic girdle pain in postpartum females to make a difference in their lives.
I started searching for courses to enhance my skill set in this population. That's when I came across the Academy of Pelvic Health (APHPT). They provide specialized courses that can build one’s knowledge to treat women in the postpartum period, as well as courses on pelvic health. The APHPT also offers scholarships for those who are seeking additional training on pelvic health.
I took the OBF course that took place in Bangalore, India. It was a very informative course with highly skilled instructors.
I would definitely recommend Academy of Pelvic Health’s CAPP courses for anyone aiming to enhance their knowledge and skills in pelvic health. I will definitely be doing more courses from them myself.
