Dear Members,

Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Elections concluded at 3:00 PM ET on July 1, 2024. The Nominating Committee has since contacted all candidates individually to inform them of the outcomes.

We are delighted to announce the results of the 2024 election for the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy to our membership and our professional community. Your votes have been counted, and we are excited to welcome our newly elected leaders who will guide us toward a promising future.

These individuals bring a wealth of experience, passion, and vision to their roles. We look forward to their contributions in driving our mission forward and enhancing the field of pelvic and abdominal health physical therapy.

Thank you to all the candidates for your willingness to serve and for accepting your positions. We would also like to extend our gratitude to all the members who participated in the election process—from recognizing potential leaders and nominating them, to supporting colleagues in their campaigns, and casting your votes. Your engagement is invaluable to the strength and future of our Academy.

All elected will commence their terms by August 1, 2024. An orientation and onboarding will occur in August 2024 with both the outgoing SIG Directors and the incoming SIG Directors.

*Student SIG Run-Off Election Announcement*

The Academy will hold a special 15-day run-off election between the two tied candidates, Victoria Steele, SPT and Victoria McFarlin, SPT. At 12:00 PM ET on Monday, July 8, 2024, APTA Pelvic Health Student members will be invited to cast their vote in a new ballot. The run-off election will close on July 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM ET. If you are a student member, please stay tuned for an e-mail with your ballot instructions.

Thank you for participating in the Academy elections! This was a highly competitive cycle, and we deeply appreciate your dedication and efforts throughout the past month in promoting your campaign. Your commitment to the Academy is invaluable, and we hope you stay involved. You passed the candidate screening process and reached the final election ballot due to your unique expertise, skills, and talents. We encourage you to consider running again in a future election and to explore opportunities to apply your skills and expertise through our appointed leadership volunteer positions.
