Sheena Sanjay Shah

PT, DPT

Physical Therapist (PT)

Professional Bio

Dr. Shah became a licensed Physical Therapist in 2023 and has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 2020, where she is involved in the Women’s Health Section. She earned her Certificate in Pelvic Physical Therapy through the APTA and is currently working toward a Certificate in Obstetric Health Physical Therapy to further enhance her expertise in treating pelvic floor dysfunction.

Sheena’s passion for pelvic health physical therapy is driven by the fulfillment she feels when patients return to the clinic, reporting improvements in their community engagement—something that may have been hindered by psychosocial factors related to pelvic floor dysfunction. Witnessing her patients regain control over their bodies, leading to greater independence and a better quality of life, fuels her dedication to growing as a clinician.

Specializing in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in women, Sheena also pursues ongoing professional development in areas such as pelvic floor dysfunction in men, transgender individuals, obstetrics, orthopedics, and manual therapy. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and refining her skills to ensure the highest standard of evidence-based care for her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Sheena, a proud Chicago native, is an enthusiastic supporter of the Bears and Blackhawks. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and snowboarding, and she has a love for reading psychological thrillers and attending live music events.
