I am very proud to be the owner of REHAB FOR HER, a small private Pelvic PT Practice in Prairie Village, Kansas, which opened in 2018. With over 25 years of experience treating female pelvic floor dysfunction, pre/postnatal conditions, incontinence and bowel dysfunction, I am excited to offer my services to the women of Greater Kansas City in a peaceful and private setting that promotes healing and comfort. With a compassionate heart and an eager mind, I spend the extra time and go the extra mile to help women attain their goals and become the healthy person they deserve to be. I love working with women of all ages, from a teenager struggling to use a tampon and suffering from vaginismus to an older woman going through menopause and experiencing vulvar changes, painful intercourse or incontinence. I also find so much joy working with pregnant women, preparing them for labor and delivery, designing the appropriate exercise routine specific to their needs and relieving their aches/pains with advanced manual skills, use of belts or K-tape. I truly love my career, and treat my clients like they are family.
In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy lecturing on Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation at the Doctoral Physical Therapy Program at Rockhurst University. In 2013 I created the first ever women's health elective course for their DPT program which has become very popular amongst the students. I also love giving talks to the public on pelvic health at local Birthing Centers, Yoga Studios, Mom's Groups and the National Charity League. I feel that education gives patients a feeling of power and control over their situation which lowers their anxiety and gives them a sense of ease as they manage their symptoms.
