Professional Bio

Dr. Miranda Duffany is committed to building relationships with patients that allow for collaboration in developing a rehab plan that fits their specific needs and goals. She graduated from Northeastern University where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Prior, she attended Fitchburg State University and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and attended Dean College earning her Associates of Arts in Dance Studies.

Miranda has personal and clinical experience in dance rehabilitation - as she received her degree in dance focusing on injury prevention and movement techniques. This includes all styles of dance such as: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and worked as a dance rehabilitation aide for 3 years. Miranda understands the unique demands sport places on the body and the importance of a team approach between the patient, family, and studio to create positive outcomes and return safely to sport.

Miranda is a pelvic health specialist receiving training via the Herman and Wallace Institute. Her inspiration for pursuing a specialty in pelvic health comes from her own experience struggling with chronic pelvic pain and the associated challenges. As a patient of pelvic floor physical therapy herself, she can relate to the psychosocial and physical strains as well as the barriers in accessing high quality knowledge and care.

Miranda strives to provide compassionate care - wanting to know all ways in which your condition affects you, not just your "top 3". She is trained in assessing and treating conditions of both the male and female sex such as bowel/bladder dysfunction, pelvic pain, testicular pain, painful intercourse, prolapse, and pre/post/peri-natal care, with a special interest in endometriosis.
