Professional Bio
I’m Dr. Karalee Knox, you can call me Kara. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2009. I continued my education at Northwestern University in Chicago and earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2012. I have been a licensed physical therapist in the state of Washington since 2012 and have primarily been practicing in orthopedics and pelvic health since then.
I have received extensive training and continued my education in pelvic health physical therapy and earned my pelvic health physical therapy board certification (WCS) in 2021 as well as certificates in obstetrics (2019) and general pelvic health physical therapy (2021). Since joining Lummi Tribal Health Clinic in 2021, I have been focusing my continued education on trauma-informed care and sexual wellness.
I live in Bellingham with my husband, two young sons and young-at-heart dog Stella. I enjoy being active and you will frequently see me in the fitness center or in a group fitness class working out with colleagues and patients alike.
