Pulse Survey on RC20-24 Motion
Charge to Assess Existing Workforce and Future Projections in Specialty Growth Areas to Meet Population Health Challenges

Population health trends have presented significant needs and demands on physical therapy services to manage public health challenges in areas of geriatrics, pediatrics, oncology, and pelvic health. In partnership with other APTA chapters and Academies, the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is looking to have APTA assess new workforce data in these four particular specialty areas to understand the need for specialized physical therapy services and identify any gaps.

We are helping prepare a letter of support regarding a motion (RC 20-24) being brought to the APTA House of Delegates in mid-July regarding workforce data. We are looking for client-shared experiences to further indicate workforce needs. Our goal is to have 100 pledges of support for RC 20-24 across the country by next Sunday, July 14.

Your participation in this survey will be an opportunity to further demonstrate the workforce needs to delegates and the APTA Board leading up to the House of Delegates in Kansas City, MO this July 21-22, 2024. We encourage you to share this survey with your colleagues!

Survey Duration: 1-2 minutes

Survey Deadline: 6:00 PM EDT, Sunday, July 14, 2025

Who can participate in the survey?

  • Non-members
