Call for Academy Award Nominations

The Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the following awards. All award nominations will close at 11:59pm EST on December 1st, 2021. You can learn more about each award below and nominate your fellow members for awards you think they deserve!

Excellence in Education Award

The Education Excellence Award goes to an individual who demonstrates excellence in teaching, assisting or the preparation of the Academy’s education program(s). This person embodies the Academy’s mission and vision through excellence in service and advances the education standards (or experience) and advocates for others, the profession and course attendees. The recipient is a team player, innovative problem-solver and is a valuable member of the team. Know anyone who fits this description? See below!

  • Nominee Eligibility Requirements: All nominees must be currently active members of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and be one of the following:
    -CAPP Committee member
    -Instructor or Lab Assistant
    -Course Host or Course Host Venue
    -Individual that supports the Academy’s education program(s)

Elizabeth Noble Award Nominations

Elizabeth Noble was the founder of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (previously called the Section on Obstetrics and Gynecology and Section on Women’s Health). She served as the first Chair and was a driving force behind the development of the field of obstetric and gynecological physical therapy in the United States. She was the author of multiple books for both the lay public and the professional. The Elizabeth Noble Award is the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy’s highest honor, and is given to an Academy member providing extraordinary and exemplary service to the field of physical therapy or to the Academy. The award may be, but is not necessarily, presented on an annual basis. When awarded, the recipient is presented with the award at the Annual Business Meeting.

  • Nominee Eligibility Requirements: Current Academy member in good standing and one who provides extraordinary and exemplary service in the physical therapy field or to the Academy
  • Selection Process: The Awards Committee composed of appointed members-at-large will review all nomination applications in November and serve their recommendation to the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Board of Directors. In December 2021, the Academy office will communicate with all nominees, nominators and the selected recipient.

Volunteer of the Year Award

200+ Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy member volunteer for the Academy year-round in a variety of projects and initiatives that advance the organization in various areas (education, research, practice, membership). Volunteers who work arduously within various task forces and committees. This award is given to an Academy member that has spent a great deal of time and energy in a specific project or year-round volunteer service this year. Please answer the following questions to nominate an Academy member who you think is highly deserving of this award.

Friend of the Academy Award

Is there a specific individual or group (i.e. organization, company) who/which you think provided exceptional assistance to the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy this past year and is deserving of the Friend of the Academy Award? We invite you to nominate an individual/entity that the Academy has worked with or is currently working with to advance its mission! Past recipients included vendors, sponsors, contractors, or individuals that the Academy has worked with to advance its mission.
