This webinar will highlight an interview with an experienced board-certified obstetrician who specializes in sexual health as well. The interview will allow Dr. Mikkilineni to discuss and review a c-section in both emergent and non-emergent situations, the most common complaints of patients post-c-section, sexual health issues postpartum, and the most common treatments. The physical therapist will highlight important ways scar tissue can affect pelvic floor function postpartum along with other postpartum aspects that may affect sexual health and wellness. Participants will be given a handout developed based on webinar material that will help physical therapists implement evidence-based tools and treatments in the clinic.
