The webinar will outline “Optimizing Postpartum Care” from the Committee of Obstetrics Practice. As pelvic health specialists, we should be able to provide continuity of care with our obstetric providers. We have the advantage of duration and frequency of care with our postpartum patients to monitor symptoms, provide patient education, and act as a liaison between the patient and physician.

The webinar will focus on some standards of postpartum care and how physical therapists can act as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Webinar objectives:

  • Understand the postpartum process timeline
  • Understand recommendations for reproductive life planning postpartum
  • Understand the roles of the postpartum care team
  • Understand components assessed during postpartum care
