Professional Bio

Molly Self, a graduate of the U.S. Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (2012), is a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and one of only four Pediatric Clinical Specialists in Alaska. She is the only Pediatric Clinical Specialist in the state with advanced certifications in treating Pediatric Pelvic Health.

Dr. Self is completing Board Certification in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback (BCB-PMD) from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) and has earned the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Academy of Pelvic Health, demonstrating her expertise in advanced pelvic health care.

As the Alaska State Representative for the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health and one of the directors of the Pediatric Pelvic Health Special Interest Group, Molly is a leader in her field. She is committed to advancing pelvic health care across the lifespan.

Molly has served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves for over 15 years and continues to dedicate her expertise to both military and civilian populations. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatric Rehabilitation at the U.S. Army-Baylor DPT Program and a Doctor of Science (DSc) Scholar in Pediatric Rehabilitation at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Her diverse clinical experience spans pediatric pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum care, male pelvic health, and orthopedic and sports physical therapy, as well as neurodevelopmental pediatric care in outpatient, early intervention, school-based, and acute-care settings.

At Pelvic Pathways Physical Therapy, I specialize in providing compassionate and expert care for pediatric and adult pelvic health conditions. My practice focuses on helping patients achieve optimal pelvic function through evidence-based treatments and individualized care plans. I offer evaluation and treatment for pediatric pelvic health conditions, including bedwetting, constipation, pelvic pain, and daytime urinary or bowel incontinence, as well as adult pelvic floor dysfunction, such as pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, bowel dysfunction, and postpartum recovery.

As a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. I am also completing advanced mentorship toward Board Certification in Biofeedback for Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunction and serve as an Associate Professor of Pediatric Rehabilitation at the U.S. Army-Baylor DPT Program. My commitment to education, advocacy, and patient care drives me to help individuals of all ages regain confidence and function in their daily lives.
