About the Course
The Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Level 2 (Bowel Dysfunction) course is a two-part course series composed of (PART I) Lecture and (PART II) Lab. This Part I (Lecture) is a prerequisite for the combined Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Level 2 Lab (In-Person Part II). Part I will be conducted 100% virtually through a live webinar format. In PART I, webinar lectures include the anatomy, pathophysiology and physical therapy evaluation/treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction-related bowel dysfunction. Concepts of pelvic floor muscle motor control training, rectal balloon training, coccygeal mobilization, and clinical application of modalities will be reviewed. You must attend the full webinar course live in order to get full credit. The Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Level 2 course is recognized by The International Continence Society (ICS) as providing training that conforms to ICS standards.

I had the pleasure of participating in the PH2B course in November 2020. As the only person in the online course identifying as male, I was a little apprehensive about the lens in which they would teach the class, however, the course instructors and lab assistants used inclusive language throughout the entire webinar and I did not once feel singled out. The course content itself was incredibly thorough and well-researched, but what really stood out to me was the vast number of clinical examples the course instructors and lab assistants were able to provide. This significantly helped in digesting the large amount of material. The instructors and lab assistants always went out of their way to answer participant-asked questions in as much detail as possible, and if they couldn’t they looked into the answer on their own time, which is incredible to me. I have absolutely no hesitancy in recommending the PH2: Bowel Dysfunction course to anyone who is interested in taking their pelvic health training to the next level. – Matt S.L.
I was surprised how well the webinar format worked! I really liked being able to do the lectures from home and spend less time traveling/driving, more time with my family in the course of a class weekend. I would do this even if not for COVID. – Anonymous
I love the webinars! I have a hard time sitting still and paying attention for 8 hours at a time at a continuing ed course. It as a great to be able to get up and move without disturbing others. It was also a safe environment to discuss this topic. Being able to write down questions as we thought of them in the chat box and have them answered at the end was great and did not disrupt the flow the speakers’ presentations. – Anonymous
The webinar format worked great and I had no issues with it. If anything, I think people asked MORE questions in this environment because the chat box was so convenient and easy to use. – Anonymous
Very intense informative course. LOTS of information. My first webinar. Better than I expected. All presenters had a thorough knowledge of topic and how to use zoom platform-very helpful. Breakout sessions were cool. – Anonymous
All the instructors and assistants were lovely and knowledgeable! I look forward to the next course. It is so much easier being able to do these didactic portions thru webinar and then being able to combine all the labs into 1 weekend in the future. – Anonymous
