Personal Statement

Four years ago, I began working at my community hospital to establish, develop, and grow a pelvic rehabilitation clinical practice for our outpatient physical therapy. Being a member of the nominating committee, I would have the opportunity to enhance my connection with SIG. It would also provide me the chance to grow my network of colleagues who are as passionate to the pelvic rehab practice as I am.

As a full time clinician within the eld of pelvic rehabilitation, I understand the need for realistic and directly applicable developments within the pelvic rehabilitation eld. I am thoughtful, dependable, and dedicated to my practice and my patients; as a member of the committee I would have the utmost consideration for making decisions that would be for the betterment of the growth and practice of pelvic therapy rehabilitation.”

Current Practice

  • I am an adjunct Faculty Member at Georgian Court University primarily teaching in integrative medicine
    department.
  • I work in Clinical Practice in a hospital based outpatient department seeing patients for pelvic
    floor dysfunction as well as cancer rehabilitation.

Industry Involvement & Accomplishments

  • Working with professional organizations with in my hometown and greater area of NJ to educate on women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapy through contributing articles to local publications.
  • Teach at local universities and contributing to their curriculum to include pelvic health.
  • Worked with FOTO development of outcome measures for pelvic floor, women’s health and lymphedema questionnaires.
  • Participated in the NJ APTA meetings, Contributed to oncology section journal and worked with the oncology section to create brochures and volunteered to develop some marketing tools.
