Personal Statement

“My personal vision is to educate, engage, and empower the next generation of physical therapy students. I feel that this vision closely aligns with the Academy’s vision of transforming society by empowering professionals and people everywhere. Just as I need to be a source of effective information, data, and research for my students, I strive to lead the Academy in these same areas.

As Director of Research I will collaborate with the Journal of Women’s Health Physical Therapy and continue working towards the goal of greater visibility and dissemination of our member research to stakeholders within other health professions. Additionally, I will foster research collaboration within our membership as well as with other health professions. I see the Academy poised to increase our leadership nationally and internationally and raise the bar in pelvic health education, research, and advocacy. I am a proud member of the Academy and would be proud to serve as Director of Research.”
