This session will focus on best evidence-based practice for dry needling, specifically for the pelvic floor. This session will be presented by 2 experts in the field of dry needling and will explore the indications of muscular dysfunction that could be served by dry needling. Evidence will be presented for a variety of pelvic floor conditions with the treatment of dry needling. Finally, case studies will be presented to continue to illustrate the possible uses for dry needling.


Kelly Sammis, PT, DPT is a physical therapist, educator of dry needling and all things pelvic, Pilates instructor, wife and mama living and working in Denver, Colorado. Kelly’s passion for treatment in our discipline is pelvic health and wellness. Her specialties are male and female pelvic floor dysfunction, oncology rehabilitation, lymphedema, dry needling, herbal medicine and Pilates. Kelly’s formal education took place at Ohio University (2007) and The University of St Augustine for Health Sciences (2010).
