Men’s Health: A Clinician and Research Perspective

Joanne Milios and Gerard Greene will focus on multiple areas of men’s pelvic health. JoAnne Milios will present her research on the treatment of post prostectomy urinary incontinence and the use of multiple exercise based modalities. She will also discuss her use of yoga in the treatment of both incontinence and pelvic pain in men who have had prostate surgery. The second half of the course will focus on a clinician’s perspective in the in treatment of male pelvic pain. Gerard Greene will present several musculoskeletal approaches to treating male pelvic pain as well as case studies.
Pelvic Floor Impacts of Urologic Surgeries

Devin O’Brien Coon, Daniel M. Gruber and Abhishek Patel will be presenting a series of lectures on surgical techniques and their impact on the pelvic floor as well as the need for pelvic floor therapy. There will be a presentation on gender affirmation surgical techniques and the need for post op pelvic floor therapy, a presentation on urodynamics and the implications for pelvic floor treatment and surgery and a presentation on surgical techniques for male sexual dysfunction.

7th Annual “Board at the Bar”
Thursday, February 13, 2020 | 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM*
Join us at our signature member event, “Board at the Bar,” to toast to the new 20s! This event is open to APTA Pelvic Health members and industry friends. “Board at the Bar” is a casual get-together and networking event attended by members, Board Directors and volunteers. Enjoy drinks and some light appetizers in a casual, fun setting as you meet and network with fellow PT, PTA and SPT professionals.
Location: Earls Kitchen + Bar, 1600 Glenarm Place, Denver, Colorado 80202 (9 minute walk from the convention center and only a 4 minute walk from the Hyatt Regency hotel).
Entrance/Registration: There is NO cover fee nor advanced registration however you must wear your CSM conference badge in order to enter. Event entry is on a first come, first served basis so make sure to arrive on time for a higher chance of getting in! The first 100 attendees will receive a drink ticket. The event venue space is limited. If you arrive when it gets maxed out, you may need to wait until some attendees leave before being able to enter.
Dress Code: Casual (make sure to wear your CSM 2020 conference badge)

Hear your elected leaders give a State of the Section overview of progress toward our mission in 2019. There will be a swearing in of new Board Officers, Directors and Nominating Committee member. The Business Meeting will conclude with an Awards Presentation. Every year, the Academy recognizes members and/or committees for their excellent service, dedication and contributions to our physical therapy profession.

Meet fellow Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant and Student Physical Therapist members and others interested in joining our growing community of professionals raising the bar of patient care, physical therapy research and education. Our booth is typically located across from the APTA booth and is visited by 500+ professionals each year. CSM Volunteer Opportunity
The Academy is seeking volunteers for the Combined Sections Meeting 2020 Booth Exhibition Days (February 13-15, 2020) in Denver, CO to help represent our Academy to current and prospective members. Assisting at the our booth is a great way to give back to our industry all while giving you the opportunity to network with your peers and seasoned physical therapy professionals. It gives you the chance to interact with students, physical therapist assistants and physical therapists who are attending CSM just like you to advance their education and career. You can actively learn about the Academy, its initiatives, education programs and membership benefits through this volunteer experience.
