Diastasis Made Easy with PPP-RR-LD (Person, Posture, Patterns, Respiration, Ribcage, Load and Defect)

Friday, January 22, 2021 | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM EST

PPP-RR-LD is an easy to follow proforma created by Gráinne Donnelly to assist physical therapists in their evaluation and management approach for diastasis rectus abdominis.

After recognizing the conflicting messages and lack of official guidance as a result of the paucity of research in this area, Gráinne developed the proforma in 2018 based on the available evidence to date. Never get stuck or hit a road block with your approach to diastasis again.

  • Learn about the elements of assessment and management that PPP-RR-LD represents and how to apply them to a client with diastasis
  • Person, Posture, Patterns, Respiration, Ribcage, Load and Defect
  • Understand what the evidence can tell us about diastasis to date and  how it informs each element of the proforma
  • See real life case examples
  • Learn about recent research that Gráinne was involved in that investigates “beyond the gap”

Participants will be able to:

  • Compare the differences in adult and pediatric anatomy of the pelvic floor related to gross motor development.
  • Create a developmental based treatment program for children with bowel and bladder dysfunction.

Moderator: Lauren Trosch, PT, DPT, Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
