House of Delegates

Delegates representing the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy

The House of Delegates is an APTA policymaking body comprised of voting chapter delegates, non-voting delegates (the Board of Directors and section, assembly, and PTA Caucus delegates), and consultants. The House meets annually, making decisions on issues that may have far-reaching implications for the association and for the profession of physical therapy.

In February 2021, the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy has appointed a Chief Delegate, Delegate, and Alternate Delegate from the Board of Directors to represent the Academy at the 2021 House of Delegates Meetings August 28, 2021 (virtual meeting) and September 11-12, 2021 (in-person Washington, D.C.). In 2021, the Academy is holding elections for the next slate of delegates that will commence service starting with 2022 House of Delegates.

By having current/past Board members appointed to these positions for the 2021-2022 year, the Academy will have seasoned delegates to represent the Academy for the first year and will have time to develop training and onboarding tools for the next 2022-2025 slate of delegates. The 2021 appointed Chief Delegates, Delegate and Alternate Delegate will be eligible to run for the positions in the election of 2021 (for 2022 start) as long as they will no longer be serving on the Board of Directors in 2022.
